The Roman Sunrise
How beautiful the Roman sky is in the early morning from our apartment in Trastevere!
Our apartment in Rome looks toward the Tiber, which we would see except for a few buildings in the way -- never mind. The land slopes a bit toward the river, so the sky is clearly visible, left to right (north to south) nearly 180 degrees.
The camera has a narrower field of view than the apartment has -- never mind. Its visual field is plenty for my purpose: to show you the gorgeous coming of the light.

There are mountains east of Rome, and often there are clouds in the early morning, seeming to come from the mountains, that burn off after the sun rises.

What? you say. Are the skies never drab in the morning? Well, of course they are, but I don't seem to love drab skies so much.

Now that the sun is moving north, it's currently rising between the buildings, making a blaze too early for good pictures. But I have hopes it'll keep on its northward journey, and give me more great pictures.
